Narrative R&D for frontier research.

We don't produce one-offs. We build narrative systems — serial media, speculative worlds, and story-driven programs that compound over time and work across every audience that matters to your mission.

Fictional Twins. A speculative world where your science has already succeeded. We research your technology's future, design it as a living narrative, and use it to stress-test assumptions, reveal opportunities, and make the stakes real to everyone who needs to act.

Serial Media. Episodes, scenarios, visual worlds — video, animation, audio dramas, games, graphic novels, and interactive experiences. Not a campaign. A body of work that builds a following around where you're going.

Audience Before You Need One. The media we produce doesn't just explain what you're building. It creates the audience — investors, recruits, policymakers, the public — before you go looking for them.

What we do.

Designing
Science
Experiences

Speaking to the Harvard Library, our founder Nic DiPalma describes human-centered science communication, overcoming established perceptions with novel perspectives, and practicing narrative research in conceptual design.

The SpacetimeLabs™ Continuum

Spacetime Creative Labs LLC (dba SpacetimeLabs) officially launched in February 2016 as a design research project: Does science communication need a better UX? How can human-centered design principles help science and research communicate with the public? Can a better user experiences increase science literacy, promote curiosity, and encourage greater support for research?
