The best way to build a better world is to build lots of worlds.

World-building is the new R&D — for bold ideas, for better technologies, for advanced research.

Innovation requires conceptual thinking that explores a broad scope of scenarios, systems, and personas to continuously improve the way we learn, create, and communicate.

To navigate the opportunities and possibilities of tomorrow, you need a network of scientists, designers, and futurists creating in multiple dimensions to give you a long view while remaining aware of your needs in the present. That’s what we do:

  • Make the cost of risk irrelevant.

  • Convert uncertainty to opportunity.

  • Build leadership, impact, and support.

  • Attract, hire, and partner with trailblazers.

Welcome to the Imagination Age.

Imagination Sprints
For kickstarts and restarts on your way to the next level.

Unleash visionary breakthroughs with our Imagination Sprints™— bursts of applied creative work in conceptual design. Disrupt the habits and patterns preventing your team from achieving extraordinary results.

Fictional Twins
A secondary world framework for exploring possibilities.

Think of it as a digital twin, but faster, smarter, and without the complex technology requirements:

  • Make complex decisions faster.

  • Explore bold options with zero risk.

  • Communicate clearly in times of change or chaos.

  • Accelerate team collaboration and growth.

R&D Games
Serious games and actual play for advanced research.

Serious games are highly effective and engaging for developing important research skills. They allow players to immerse themselves in active learning rather than passive absorption of information. They promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills. This is advanced play for cutting-edge leaders and organizations.

CASE STUDY

It began as a consulting engagement with an astrophysicist. Then it became a design research project and launched as a science travel agency. Within a year, it was recognized by the world’s biggest travel media publisher as Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2019 for dark sky tours.

AstroTours is a partnership between SpacetimeLabs and astrophysicist / cosmologist Paul M. Sutter producing global, science-based travel experiences that bring people closer to the awe and wonder of the universe by discovering and experiencing life on Earth.

That day.
An original science audio drama.

This podcast series currently in production explores a scenario for ‘that day’ when the world is presented with evidence of extraterrestrial intelligent life. Through science fiction and non-fiction content, we invite listeners to experience a profound scientific discovery. The world as you know it will never sound the same.

We work with visionaries. Like you.
